Non-amusing frustrations

Car version

So replacing a headlight is pretty easy. Apart from the parts in the way of the lamp assembly and lack of leverage to get them out of the way, when it's the driver side one on my car. Still, it's a modular thing now and is basically like plugging a new video card in or some such. Once you get down to it.

But it's a lot more annoying when the hood latch breaks and the hood won't close properly afterward. And you've driven a car where the hood once became possessed by the demons of the wind and air turbulence flows of high speeds and was propelled into the open position while driving on the highway under the very similar circumstances where the latch itself was jammed or frozen solid. Rather than stuck open for the prosaic reasons that a spring or cable has snapped somewhere. And thus did this rude action rather violently and jarringly to the memory. And with other cars around while moving at high speed.

It can be an unpleasant frustration at that point.
