that's one way to look at it

I say get us some automatic robot cars. Get rid of the driver entirely. People love roller coasters, I don't see what the difference would be when you're going 80 mph and literally right behind another car for the generation of people who were raised on driving themselves.

Still, it's funny to see how a safety feature immediately can be found as an exploit by the end user. "Hey, you know when this would be great? When I'm hammered and driving home!" Uhm. Not so much really. Possibly weaving across lanes involuntarily is only one of your problems then.
