Even FISA needs a warrant
I'd still like to see people who decided these things were legal, when they clearly weren't, penalized or held to account for this somewhere along the line. This is principally the reason behind wanting to see Yoo and Bybee and Bradbury held to account for their torture memos on the legality of that program. Presumably someone did the same to justify the bypassing of the 4th amendment process, as well as the attempts to continue to ignore it under the states secrets privileges accorded to the executive branch. Holding "the government" responsible does little to ensure such a breach would not happen again or that the particular party responsible for these views suffers any repudiation in public.
